dCloudLauncher SFX Extraction

Postby Washer » Mon Jun 10, 2013 5:11 am

Downloaded dCloudLauncher SFX and transferred to remote clients computers and extracted. D7 folder is created on desktop but only contains three folders 3rd Party Tools, Config and Script.
Updated to latest version of d7 v9.1.26 and updated dCloud then downloaded dCloudLauncher sfx again only to find the same result. Select an earlier d7 version has the same outcome.

D7 v9.1.26
Windows XP SP3 32 bit
Window 7 SP1 32 bit

Hello Washer.

I'm currently experiencing the exact same issue. I have mine set to a default profile, and to delete itself after it's finished with the download. It appears to have a little bug currently.

Edited: I'm also going to note that when I select to have d7 downloaded to a specific directory, Support directory by default, that it stay's on the desktop as well.

Washer, I just did a bit more testing, and realized that when I tested this originally...I still had d7 running.

I believe the issue is caused by .ocx and or .dll files that are currently in use because d7 is running, and unable to be downloaded/transferred properly in the script. So it discontinues the script once it hits a file it can't work with, and break's the remaining functionality.

Please try to run your SFX on a system without d7 running on it currently.

I'm no longer experiencing this issue.

Yes HMWMCT, I was thinking the same if d7 was open but I shut down d7 before executing dCL_SFX
I've generated a fresh SFX and it appears to have corrected itself apart from it now defaults to run d7 from the support folder.

Maybe Nick can have dCL place a shortcut for d7 on the desktop.
