Anyone using jrt?
Not running for me:
Image

the .cmd file is in two locations D7\Config\3rd Party Configs - D7\3rd Party Tools and contains:

@echo off&pushd "%~dp0"
cd "..\..\3rd Party Tools"
start /wait JRT.exe -y -nr
pushd %systemdrive%\JRT
if not exist "get.bat" goto :eof
find /v /i "pause" get.bat>tmp.bat
find /v /i "notepad" tmp.bat>get.bat
start /wait get.bat

any ideas?

yep it's fubar now. looking into it they for some reason just changed the path that JRT's SFX extracts to.

Basically in the batch file you could replace %systemdrive% with %temp% and you're right as rain. That, or update to default apps v33 which I just uploaded with the fix.

Thanks Nick.

Played with AdwCleaner?

I use it after JRT and it cleans what JRT doesn't.

Nick I need to know how to get JRT and other custom Apps to work in Offline Operations but they all seem to be defaulting to the local partition's boot, MBR etc... instead of the listed target partitions.
So my C drive is squeaky clean and free of everything but that is not what I am trying to fix. I have a ton of customers coming in with malware that is corrupting MBR and boot loader files so Windows won't boot or the malware has control not windows permissions.

I've been building PC for 23 year and and have been a tech for a defense contractor and yet i feel like such a noob on most of this concerning revamp of windows files. Please help!

Some apps simply can not be used in offline mode -- they expect to be run on the 'current' (read: PE) system in which they're active and not another partition.
Since JRT isn't really a virus remover, I wouldn't even consider it for Offline use -- I'd run it once the system is "clean enough" and bootable.
